World Health Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus says the lockdown option is being used in countries with global epidemic Corona virus, which is not the solution.

In a video statement on the micro-blogging website Twitter, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said lockdowns were being carried out in countries around the world to prevent and eradicate the spread of the Corona virus, but it was their own decision. Lock down cannot cause Corona virus to end, it’s time to fight back. WHO warns against ending coronavirus lockdowns too early

Speaking to media at the World Health Organization’s headquarters in Geneva, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus added that there are ways to fight the pandemic, such as taking stringent measures, testing the patient in a timely manner and treating them. Doing so may prove to be a better solution, the lockdown option only works for countries whose health departments are weak and do not have a strong health system. Implementing strict social and economic sanctions is not the best and quickest way.

He said governments need to spread the awareness among their people about how they can avoid it, there are preventive measures which need to be adopted and proper medical supplies should be given to everyone infected in order to better tackle this menace.

He said that at a time when people need to raise awareness that Corona virus can be cured after diagnosis in the early days, people need to visit the doctor with minor symptoms so that it can be treated, and in this way it will not be transmitted to others. Preventive measures need to be taken. Also Read:The Corona virus and Capitalist System
