Are These Mullahs Above The Law?

It is insulting to the citizens of Pakistan that they are paying the highest price of Corona virus while their prayer leaders are land-grabbers and black-mailers. And, the Government is silent spectator after being black-mailed. The deadly reality of Corona virus has appeared with full force but the religious emotionalism has not been avoided so far.

It appears the PTI government is playing in the hands of these crooks who use religion for their nasty business. The fact is that Pakistani authorities continue to be intimidated by the religious goons. Why do they (Mullahs) need to be consulted since this is a purely a scientific matter? These people live in stone ages, what do they know about science? When they cannot even understand the significance of DNA evidence, how would they know what this situation is?

I fail to understand that why is this a flipping problem. Even Hajj is being considered to be cancelled this year. Time to bypass the fatwa factory and let common sense prevail. There are times when a government has to do the right thing and not the popular one. This is just one of those times. Votes can wait, politics can wait.

Government must disband Ulama committee, they or any cleric or so called Ulamas must not be consulted for matter related to national health emergency or in framing of national policy. These Ulamas have no creditability. The law enforcement must lock down all the mosques and any elements posing enforcement efforts must be locked up behind bar till further notice. Nation cannot afford loosing precious lives due to these unqualified and so called pseudo Ulamas. Prayers would be held in mosques from now

History will have to record that the greatest tragedy of this period of Corona virus is not the strident clamor of the Pakistani Clergy, but the appalling silence of PTI government over religious blackmailing. Capacity and potential issues with the current ruling cabinet are wide open. The government is finding difficult to explain Atta and Sugar. While these mullahs are busy opening religious Pandora box for the already confused leading team.

And to my fellow citizens, the old time notion of following a Mullah for religious guidance is like a blind faith without using one’s head. In modern times, people think and use their head before jumping blindly into any matter. Since the modern times have advantage of fast moving information and communication, the people are better prepared to think. So, just recognize the changing times and catch up with the speed of the universe. Think and ponder about your own self, your health and the lives of your dear ones, stop following this menace of Mullaism.
