Desperate Measures?

At a press conference, Maryam Nawaz played a recorded video featuring a conversation between Nasir Butt, an old friend of Accountability Judge Arshad Malik, She claims that this video proof clearly shows no evidence of a single penny which has been shifted from Pakistan, no evidence of shifting any money by accused from Pakistan.

This press talk leaves us with simple questions? Who is Maryam Nawaz accusing? Is it the Judiciary? Is it the Law Enforcement Agencies? Is it just an eyewash? Or is Maryam simply sought to gather people’s sympathy?

If recorded tapes are to be trusted then probably Shahbaz Sharif’s leaked phone conversation with Justice Abdul Qayyum for favours is still fresh in public’s memory. Was he on party’s payroll? Strange as it may seem, but no amount of learning has as yet cured political maturity in Sharif family,Unforgivable Damage

Maligning National Security Institutions will only bring chaos and anarchy in the country. Unlike Dawn Leaks, who will come to help now, if this illegally made audio-video proves doctored and fake? Will it prove another Calibri font? This is yet to unfold.

Yes, these evidences are as refutable as the Qatari letter. When the ship is sinking, you cling to straws. However, Maryam is trying to throw everyone overboard, so she and her father can survive. This might make more sense than the tailored audio/video clip presented in the press conference.

Maryam Nawaz is following the age-old principle, that everything is fair in love & war. This belated accusation of injustice, on a make believe story (sic), instead of being contested in the court, getting publicized through public statements shows moral bankruptcy & desperation among rank and file of Nawaz League.

Maryam Safdar told us about this “divine intervention” conveniently ignoring the fact that the nation is awaiting explanations regarding her statements about their properties and magical calibri font, she seems to have closed her eyes on the plunder and below the par economic performance of PML-N in their last regime.
There are souls that are incurable and lost to the rest of society. Deprive them of one means of folly, they will invent ten thousand others. They will create subtler, wilder methods, methods that are absolutely desperate and these recent measures quite perfectly sum up Sharif family’s situation.

Again simple questions rise after this unfortunate press talk. 1) If the Judge was being pressurized and blackmailed to convict in Nawaz Sharif in Azizia case, why was he able to acquit him in Avenfield case? 2). It is illegal to record a video or audio recording without the explicit permission of a person and this guy Nasir Butt Sahab went fully equipped and ready to record . How did he know what would be revealed/discussed? 4) Why was this “GEM’ hidden for a year? 5) What is the motive of the person who allegedly recorded this – a person who is a criminal and a murderer? Who are the manipulators and “masters” of what PML N calls a puppet PM?

Sharif family is throwing everything at the wall hoping something will stick, Strange how such spooky videos are being ‘discovered’ by the family now. One is surprised at the leniency the law enforcers have shown to this wily family, every member of which is not only corrupt but also totally devoid of conscience.
Allow me to explain why the judgment holds weight:
1.) Assets were purchased which were beyond the means of the convicted criminals. 2.) There was no evidence provided how the convicted criminals earned the money. 3.) There was no evidence provided how the convicted criminals transferred the money to Britain. 4.) There were conflicting statements on how the money was transferred/earned to pay for the apartments. 5.) A patently bogus document was presented as evidence. 6.) There are statements provided by Ishaq Dar on how he laundered money for the Sharifs
All the evidence points to wrong doing by Nawaz and his family.
Rule of Law and justice prevails. The Supreme Court has proved that there is no protection for “wrong dower”, “lairs” and “dishonest”, no matter who and is he, and what position held.
