Motorway: Beasts Robbed Humanity

0

Who is to be blamed for the motorway incident? CCP0 Lahore, who believes fault lies with the woman, who should have avoided travelling with her kids alone on the motorway at midnight or the woman herself, who opted to travel via the motorway without checking the petrol of the vehicle?

Suppose she was travelling along with her husband, with her kids, would she have escaped the brutal incident? No, the police would have to handle the pile of corpses there. Because the filthy intention did not care who and how many people were inside the car, the perpetrators were just dyed in the filth that exists in the collective lives of all of us.

Poor woman confused this jungle with civilized human settlement. Didn’t even check petrol. Looks like she was literate too. But which curriculum? And how unfortunate of her that she was travelling in Pakistan, where a man is considered the protector of a woman. But in reality, it’s the opposite, a human being protects another human being. Now, the irony is where to find human beings? Where do they come from? Sadly their cultivation is banned here. In a society divided by relationships and sexual orientation, everyone is found, but not human beings.

In our country, women are never fully aware of the mental state of men. From their childhood, critical thinking is ridiculed. The courage to achieve self-sufficiency is never encouraged. They are not taught to make decisions. Just how to please a man after marriage is imparted in them. And in the curriculum of schools, colleges and universities, in the name of ethics, things are communicated that are obsolete. It’s just propaganda. Humanity is formed through training and nourishment of a human brain.

Learning is based on an outdated curriculum that promotes route-rehearsal, not intellect. Who to look up to for knowledge, ethics, moralities, values? Those who claim to be the self-proclaimed custodians of wisdom and moralities are a heap of filth from head to toe.

The story of the Land of pure — as it unfolds in all its sordid vividness across the country — is far from happy. It is a dark tale for a dark place and we are all living it. It is a land where tainted political leaders strut like peacocks while survivors of rape are expected to cower in guilt; a land where upright people are sacrificed at the altar of nepotism while discredited subordinates are garlanded with official praise; and a land where religious clerics indulge in repellent whataboutery over victim-shaming remarks. This is not callous. This is not irresponsible. This is outright dangerous.

This is an incident that came to light. Otherwise, we are polluting the fabric of everyday life with our internal filth. Some scenes come to light and some remain hidden. On the contrary, CCPO Lahore’s statement paints a frightening picture of our police force. Yes the same police force that is already groaning under the weight of its own rotting reputation; that is suffering from a professional meltdown so grievous that it has become a predatory force that bleeds from the wounds of corruption and incompetence.

The government has promised to legislate public executions through parliament. Just for their political survival. The question is, if the PTI government is strong enough to take on their financial care-givers? What about the reaction of so-called human rights organizations? First, ask global players to determine global human rights for you. You don’t get a U-turn easily every time. Try to provide results in quick time to this issue with the available government machinery. Instill a belief among masses that you are capable of bringing about change, let people see a glimpse of promised ‘Madinah ki Riyasat’ (State of Madinah) somewhere, the dream of which you have decorated in the eyes of a common man, otherwise take your dreams and go. People are joking about them now.
