Translation: Rabia Aslam
We are not accustomed of hearing the truth neither do we have time and energy for carrying out research and neutral analysis. Being emotionally charged as a collective society comes naturally to us.
If you offer a slightly varying opinion on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, these sentiments will turn into controversy. In fact, both emotions and conspiracies do not seem to work and have no value in real world. It is a different matter that the keyboard warriors never donated even five rupees to the Al-Quds Fund of Jamaat-e-Islami.
There also shouldn’t be any surprise that 99 percent of them are not even slightly aware nor do they understand the difference between Zionism and Judaism. They have never heard of the Balfour Declaration and are completely alien to the context of the Arab-Israeli wars.
First of all, let’s understand that this conflict is not between Judaism and Islam, but between the Zionists and the Arabs, a large number of whom are also Christian Arabs. This oppression is not against Muslims, it is against Arab Palestinians. Moreover, there are more than one million Muslims residing in Israel.
interviews with these Muslims can also be found on YouTube where none of these Muslims were ready to emigrate to Palestine or any Arab country because they are more satisfied, safe and prosperous in Israel.
Because we have been suffering from an inferiority complex for seventy odd years that we have no history or heritage of our own, we have become slaves to the Arab imperialism that even Allama Iqbal warned us of. Thus the Arab enemies became our enemies and the Arab allies our allies. It is a different matter that the Arabs have always treated us as servants, peasants and third-grade outsiders, but our collective pride in this regard has never been dented.
Israel also has diplomatic relations with Turkey and many Arab countries, but we are still more loyal to the Arabs than these Arabs are with themselves and therefore we do not have any diplomatic terms with Israel, even though we have diplomatic relations with India, which has violated human rights at every level in Kashmir. China, which holds millions of Uighur Muslims in concentration camps, is our best ally. Turkey, Iraq and Syria are responsible for the killing of millions of Kurdish Muslims. We also share a healthy relationship with Jordan, which has killed more Palestinians than even Israel has. Zia-ul-Haq, (remembered as the butcher of Palestine) who massacred the Palestinians on Black September, is our hero. Further, millions in the country are scrambling for US visas which has the blood of thousands of Afghan, Iraqi and Syrian Muslims on its hands.
After the partition of 1947, the Palestinian state was 44 percent. How Israel came to be at 56 percent is a long story, and the biggest culprits were the Palestinians themselves, who sold their lands to Jewish settlers at exorbitant prices. However, the occupation or forcible settlement of Arab lands by the Zionists was by no means permissible. Edward Saeed’s book can be read in this regard.
Forcibly evicting any settler from his home on the basis of any claim was and will remain an act of oppression. But this oppression has been the course of history. Why go far, isn’t this cruelty taking palce in Okara? Anyways, 44 percent of the Palestinian state had the opportunity to strengthen itself in the fields of education, economy and technology. The Arab states also had money that could help them in this regard. But instead of doing all this, not one, not two, not three, sixteen times the Arab states declared a war on Israel. After each war, Israel’s territory grew, and today the situation is that the Palestinian state in the same half of the region has shrunk to just about 10 percent.
Egypt, our brotherly Islamic country, is more responsible than Israel for besieging Gaza, the world’s largest prison. Are we also reviewing diplomatic relations with Egypt?
On the one hand, the Palestinians have nothing to eat, on the other hand, they have enough money to fire 130 rockets at Israel in one night and then hope that Israel will remain silent.
By no means is it possible to support the oppression of Israeli Zionist operatives, but it is equally important to carry out self-analysis. Hamas makes such an attack on Israel every Ramadan, knowing that its attack would not breach the strong Iron Dome defense system. Inevitably, Hamas then raises funds from around the world in response to the Israeli air raids. It is primarily a money game in which the oppressed Palestinians pay a hefty price.
A friend complained that the representative of the left Faiz Sahib had written so much on Palestine but today the left wing is silent. It is said that Faiz Sahib was the editor of Lotus and used to get salary from there. Russia was against Israeli narrative thus, Faiz Sahib had to write for Palestine as his ideology was aligned with Marxist Russia. He even lamented the Russian spies Ethel and Julius Rosenberg. But did he ever write a poem on Kashmir like Palestine or even in the praise of any American spy? The left wing of the 60’s and 70’s was the forerunner of communism, Marxism and the Russian narrative, and from there the seeds of opposition to Israel and support for Palestine were sown. If we consider it as the pain of the Ummah or humanity, we will make a mistake. Today’s real left is not captivated by a single thought, so when it comes to cold facts, it is considered an enemy of humanity.
The video of tree that caught fire during Jerusalem Day celebrations, which was caused by fireworks, went viral not only on social media but also on all our channels, propagating as, “Fire at Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Jews celebrating it.” Gone For years, our elders have been selling the image of the Dome of the Rock as Al-Aqsa Mosque. Many still don’t know that Al-Aqsa Mosque was built in 72-74 AH after the time of Prophet Muhammad and the Rightly Guided Caliphs. This mosque did not exist in the early days of Islam but still the masses widely recognize it as the first Qiblah.
Our keyboard warriors never pay heed at the genocide of millions of Kurdish Muslims, the destruction of millions of Uighur Muslims, and the starvation of children in Yemen. They don’t Understand Hamas’s bullying, Iran and Saudi Arabia’s proxy wars in Palestine. They are alien to the Muslims living in Israel and most importantly, they till date don’t understand that war is not the answer. But it’s difficult, as I said before, they probably don’t have time for research and their hatred for argument is not hidden. So that’s it. Everything will continue like this.
